About this product
Max Inflate Mode automatically inflates all cells to the maximum pressure setting for up to 20 minutes. This can be beneficial when moving or repositioning a patient.
Low Patient Weight - Featuring a Low Patient Weight mode which reduces internal cell pressures further to provide pressure redistribution and comfort for patients typically under 40kgs (Clinical judgement should be used along with a full patient risk assessment).
Comfort Control - The cell pressure determined by the Automatic Pressure Control System can be manually adjusted via the Comfort Control to provide maximum user comfort.
Auto Seat Mode - When the backrest of the bed is raised beyond 25° the internal cell pressures are automatically increased by 10% to provide additional sacral support.
Auto Surface Detection - The Artemis II Pump is designed to be used in conjunction with both a Artemis II Mattress or Artemis II Cushions (18''or 20'') - the system will automatically recognise which surface type has been connected.
Audible and Visual Alerts; Egress Alert - Once activated, the pump provides an audio-visual alert if the system senses that the occupant has exited the bed. Power Failure - An audible alert will sound and the power failure LED will illuminate on the pump. Service Interval Alert - An audio-visual signal activates after 365 days (8,760 hours) to indicate that a service is due.
Mute button - Once the audible alert has been acknowledged the alert can be muted while the cause is investigated. The alert will reactivate after 20 minutes if the fault hasn't been rectified.
Auto Lockout - The pump will lockout after 2 minutes of inactivity to prevent accidental setting changes.
Accessible rear filter for ease of maintenance.
Integral hanging hooks enable the pump to be suspended from the bed footboard.
Fully EN 60601-1, EN 60601-1-2 and EN 60601-1-11 compliant.
The mattress includes 23 cells consisting of 3 static head cells and 20 alternating cells (including 8 narrower heel cells - to support the vulnerable heel area). Individual cell's 'air on air' construction reduces the risk of 'bottoming out' as the lower section of each cell remains inflated to provide a supportive base.
The Artemis II mattress features a CPR dial at the footend, which allows for rapid deflation and is easy to operate in the event of an emergency. It is positioned flush against the mattress to reduce risk of accidental operation or damage and is strategically located to allow ease of access.
The Artemis II offers a Transport Mode; to utilise this facility the umbilical connector is simply disconnected from the pump and the non-return valve within the connector seals and prevents air from escaping. The Transport Mode can be used for up to 10 hours to ensure that the support surface provides pressure redistribution in power outages or when transportation is required.
The top Dartex® covers are multi stretch, water resistant and vapour permeable.*
An anti-fungal agent is encapsulated in the covers to help control microbial deterioration. They feature a white inner substrate to assist in identifying signs of cover damage and strike-through. Additionally, the Artemis II mattress bottom cover includes a cable management system to safely route the power cable and reduce the risk of a trip hazard.
A 360° zip allows ease of access to the internal cells and the welded seams and waterfall flap reduce risk of fluid ingress.
The mattress has 8 strategically positioned straps with D rings to enable them to be easily secured to a range of bed frames (moveable parts only).
Class IIa medical device
The Artemis II family of superior dynamic pressure area care systems combine advanced solutions with a choice of therapy modes and features to support both carers and patients. Developed for use in hospital and residential care environments, the Artemis II mattress range is fully EN 60601-1, EN 60601-1-2 and EN 60601-1-11 compliant.
Offering a wide range of modes to provide effective pressure redistribution; Alternating Therapy Mode - providing pressure relief over a 10 (default), 15 or 20 minute cycle in a AB (2 in 1) pattern. Constant Low Pressure (CLP) Therapy Mode - creating a static low pressure surface allowing immersion into the mattress providing pressure redistribution. Pulsation Mode - alternately increases and decreases the cell pressures by 30% whilst in Constant Low Pressure mode.
